Brent is spending two weeks in Virginia with the Air Force. The boys and I went and spent about 5 days in Virginia Beach area this past week. One of the sites we went to see was the Battleship Wisconsin. The boys enjoyed checking out all the weapons that were on the battleship.
One afternoon we went to check out the beach. The boys love to play in the sand and waves.
Hunter likes to think he is going scuba diving.
One evening Grandma, Braden and I went letterboxing.
We found one box at a Church that was built in 1703. It had a cannonball embedded into the brick wall.
The second letterbox was down at Ghent. It had a gorgeous bridge and view of the Elizabeth River.
Another day, we drove to Williamsburg and went to Busch Gardens. Braden and Hunter had a ball doing the rides. Hunter was determined to ride the biggest rollercoaster that he was allowed to get on for his size. He succeeded.
The next day, we decided to take a Tall Ship Cruise.
The boys were given chances to steer the big ship.
On the way home, we decided to make a few stops. The first place we stopped was the Presidential Park. It had a statue of each of the US Presidents. The statues had amazing details and lots of facts about the presidents. At the end of the tour there was a mock oval office that the boys were able to check out. They were very intrigued by the desk thanks to the movie "National Treasure."
Our next adventure was an Animal Safari. We took an hour long ride through the park and were able to get up close and personal with the animals. Enjoy the pictures.
