Spring Break

Spring Break 2009

On Friday, April 10, 2009, Brent, Cyndi, Braden, Hunter, and Preston headed to the airport. We were off to Disney World for Spring Break. Hunter ended up flying but was a pretty sick kid when we left. Nothing like flying with 102 temp and ear infections.

We arrived in Orlando about 1:30 in the afternoon. We spent the first evening in Downtown Disney. The boys loved the Lego Store. We spent the next five days in the parks. On Saturday, we hit Magic Kingdom because the Bethel High School Band was marching. We met up with one of Braden's friends. We enjoyed the day with him and his family. The resort we stayed at was beautiful. It was so nice to get some family time in before Brent deploys. Also, who could pass up the military deal that we got.

Here are some of the highlights of the trip.

Of course, you have to have Mickey and Minnie.

Many Pictures to Catch Up

This winter/spring has been a very rough one. So, here is my attempt to catch up.

The boys played Upward Basketball at a church in Tipp City. They both had great coaches and a lot of fun. Here is a shot of Hunter guarding. The next one is Braden shooting and making a basket.

Hunter and his class celebrated the 100th day of school. He had to take in a 100 collection. Of course, if you know Hunter, it would be candy. Here is Hunter counting out his candy.

Next we had a visit from Isabella. The boys love to hold and play with her. She is still trying to figure them out.

Hunter was excited that he was finally old enough to join Cub Scouts. He is a Tiger Cub. Here he is in the new uniform. He won 3 rd place in our unit Derby Dash.

Braden's 9th Birthday

Braden had his 9th birthday this year. It's hard to believe he is that old. Time has flown by. He celebrated with two of his friends. We took them to Dayton to play Lazer Tag and then we came back to the house for them to hang out and have ice cream.

Five Generations

We were all together at Christmas.

Great Grandma Carpenter, Amber, Me, Grandma Jones and of course, Isabella.

Hunter wants his teeth for Christmas

ou

Hunter has been losing his teeth like crazy. One fell out the day we left for Gatlinburg. We were home a week and he lost his other front tooth. Then on Christmas Eve, he lost the bottom one. He has another one that is almost ready to fall out also.

Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg

We went to Gatlinburg to meet Brent's family for Thanksgiving. We got there a day ahead of time so the boys wanted to spend the day at Wonder Works. Wonder Works is a huge science museum. In the pictures, you will see Braden making big bubbles and Hunter laying on a bed of nails. There are also many other pictures.

We spent the rest of the time hanging out with the family at the condo, swimming and sightseeing. We spent our last day there at Ober Gatlinburg. Hunter tried ice skating for the first time. All of us took the opportunity to try the Alpine Slide and Sky Lift.

Bowling Fun

The boys went bowling with our church. Here are some action shots. Braden had a hard time because Hunter dropped a 10 pound ball on his toe at the very beginning.
