In October, the boys and I traveled to Indiana to my sisters. We went to a pumpkin farm. They had pumpkin sling shot, trikes, corn maze, and a pumpkin patch. Here are several pictures from that adventure.
The boys did their tradition pumpkin carving.
Hunter was Anakin Skywalker this year.
Braden was Batman again this year.

Soccer Season
Hunter's soccer season has come to a close. His team had mostly ties. They did win a few and of course lost a few. Hunter played his heart out on the last game. He did very well. The deal was if he played well then mom had to finish filling up his alabaster box for church.
Braden's soccer team has one more game tomorrow and then we enter into tournaments. His team has done well. Braden like to play defense the most.

Amber & Jeremy's Wedding
Back to School
August 19 marked the first day of school. Hunter will be a first grader this year. Hunter wasn't to thrilled about the idea of having to go back and sit and listen all day. He would much rather be outside. He also didn't like the news that there would only be 2 recesses this year instead of the usual 3. Braden was excited to go back to see his friends and start the learning again. Braden will be a third grader. He was thrilled to know several of his buddies would be in his class this year.

Virginia
Brent is spending two weeks in Virginia with the Air Force. The boys and I went and spent about 5 days in Virginia Beach area this past week. One of the sites we went to see was the Battleship Wisconsin. The boys enjoyed checking out all the weapons that were on the battleship.
One afternoon we went to check out the beach. The boys love to play in the sand and waves.
Hunter likes to think he is going scuba diving.
One evening Grandma, Braden and I went letterboxing.
We found one box at a Church that was built in 1703. It had a cannonball embedded into the brick wall.
The second letterbox was down at Ghent. It had a gorgeous bridge and view of the Elizabeth River.
Another day, we drove to Williamsburg and went to Busch Gardens. Braden and Hunter had a ball doing the rides. Hunter was determined to ride the biggest rollercoaster that he was allowed to get on for his size. He succeeded.
The next day, we decided to take a Tall Ship Cruise.
The boys were given chances to steer the big ship.
On the way home, we decided to make a few stops. The first place we stopped was the Presidential Park. It had a statue of each of the US Presidents. The statues had amazing details and lots of facts about the presidents. At the end of the tour there was a mock oval office that the boys were able to check out. They were very intrigued by the desk thanks to the movie "National Treasure."
Our next adventure was an Animal Safari. We took an hour long ride through the park and were able to get up close and personal with the animals. Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Fourth of July
This year we headed to Indiana for the Fourth of July. We had a good time with the Skaggs family. During the day, the boys went swimming, rode the green machine, and we introduced Jarrett to letter boxing. The evening we spent at the Silverhawks baseball game where we saw an excellent fireworks show. Oh yeah, we couldn't leave out the trip to Krispy Kreme Donuts.
